Design, shop drawings & project coordination.

YOUR PROJECT JOURNEY

Following receipt of your deposit, your Project Manager will coordinate the preparation of detailed shop drawings for every steel window and door within your project. Preliminary shop drawings are typically issued within 72 hours of receiving your deposit payment.

These drawings are developed specifically for your project and detail dimensions, configurations, hardware, glazing and installation requirements prior to manufacture.

Your quotation includes three (3) shop drawing revisions. Additional revisions or design consultation beyond this allowance may incur additional charges.

Where required, a site inspection will be arranged to verify project details. Additional site visits outside the project scope may incur additional charges.

Approval & manufacturing.

Once the shop drawings have been approved and the progress payment received, your project will move into production.

Each steel window and door is individually manufactured through our specialist architectural steel fabrication process before being assembled, inspected, finished and function tested to ensure it meets Metro Steel Windows’ quality standards.

Typical manufacturing timeframe: Approximately 9 weeks.

Quality assurance & freight.

Before dispatch, every project undergoes a comprehensive quality assurance inspection. Your order is then carefully packaged, prepared for shipment and monitored throughout the freight process. Your Project Manager will keep you informed as your project progresses.

Typical shipping timeframe: Approximately 3 weeks.

Delivery.

Following customs clearance, your project is received at our Melbourne facility, where all frames, hardware and accessories are checked, collated and prepared for final delivery.

Please refer to our Care and Maintenance Brochure for detailed information on the care, storage, cleaning, and warranty requirements.
