Elm Residence is a refined and luxurious home with a carefully curated palette of layered natural materials and furnishings. Centered around a century-old elm tree, the contemporary extension of this Edwardian-style family home is rich in sophistication yet evokes a sense of ease and comfort. Our bespoke design and colour steel-framed doors form a part of the home’s journey from old to new and enhance the interiors’ warm accents.
Located in the Melbourne suburb of Glen Iris, architect Drew Cole Architects, interior design studio GOLDEN, together with builder Long Contracting, have crafted Elm Residence to harmoniously coexist with its natural surroundings.
The home’s steel-framed pivot and single-hinged doors are handmade from our Classic profile and finished in Dulux Medium Bronze paint; a rich and sumptuous, reminiscent of aged copper bathed in warm sunlight. Paired with Italian-designed Pittella door hardware, our doors exude a sense of timeless elegance, linking the home’s original Edwardian-style hallway with the new contemporary extension. Our steel-framed doors are functional and honour the home’s Edwardian origins while seamlessly integrating the rich textures and modernity of the extension.
